ANIMAL WARFARE VS WELFARE

Animal welfare fundamentally focuses on ensuring the overall physical and mental well-being of animals that are in human care. This crucial aspect encompasses minimizing suffering through the provision of adequate nutrition, safe shelter, and humane treatment, often guided by the well-respected principles known as the "Five Freedoms," which address the essential needs and rights of animals.

In contrast, animal rights represents a deeply rooted philosophical stance advocating that animals should not be regarded merely as property or utilized by humans in any capacity whatsoever. While animal welfare aims to enhance the lives and living conditions of animals, the animal rights perspective seeks to completely eliminate all forms of human exploitation of these creatures, emphasizing their intrinsic value and rights as sentient beings.
